Commissioned character artwork for the Forlorn Raider Series Book 9.
Darla is a half Dwarf Vampire, but as there is nothing to compare her size to she looks like a powerful human. Maybe I should have drawn something in the scene to give a size comparison.

"Vampires emerged from the shadows in every direction. Much like the mass teleportation that occurred when Marleen cast her spell to send us to Araria, the vampires emerged from the shadows all over the place. Among them was Darla, having a slaughtering good time. Instead of wielding blood magic to create barriers and swords, she was using the shadows themselves to create and manipulate her weapons. And with one hand, she wielded a large greatsword. It was a weapon so large that I’m not sure I could have wielded it with two hands, let alone with one, and so easily."
